“Rejoice always and delight in your faith;be unceasing and persistent in prayer; in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, AMP
"This, then, is how you should pray: 'Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be Your Name,Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.’" Matthew 6:9-13
“There is no way that Christians, in a private capacity, can do so much to promote the work of God and advance the Kingdom of Christ as by prayer.” Jonathan Edwards
Read "Praying Like Jesus, 10 Brief Studies in Prayer" from By Pastor Rick Ezell Courtesy of LifeWay’s Proclaim Online. "The disciples only asked Jesus to teach them one thing: how to pray. Since learned behavior is easier caught than taught, it would do us well to observe the prayer practice of Jesus. These ten studies glimpse into the prayer life of Jesus."
"Watch Alistair Begg Discuss How to Pray Like the Apostle Paul" from Truth for Life. "A faithful and fruitful prayer life doesn't always come easily. How should we talk to God? What should we pray for? How do we approach a holy God in our sinful state? Alistair Begg addresses these questions and more in this full-length interview on his new book, Pray Big: Learn to Pray Like an Apostle."
"Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? —unless indeed you fail to meet the test!" 2 Corinthians 13:5.
"Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:23-24.
Examine your heart when it comes to praying unceasingly for motives, concerns, readiness, and equipment.
"Father God, There can be such a blessing that comes from technology and being able to connect with other people all over the world in a moment. But this blessing can also become a major distraction from something so much better, staying connected to You. Lord, I repent for neglecting to keep our communication a top priority and allowing an electronic device to become a hindrance to the spiritual discipline of prayer. You call us to never cease from praying, meaning that we should be continually looking to You every moment of the day. I lift my gaze to You, knowing that is where my help comes from. I lift up my voice to You, knowing that You incline Your ear to me as Your child. Thank You, Jesus, for making a way for me to have a relationship with my Heavenly Father. May I never take that relationship for granted? Help me by Your grace and the power of the Spirit to remember to keep prayer a daily, moment-by-moment lifeline to my Heavenly Father. In Jesus’ name, Amen." (From A Prayer to Help Us Pray Without Ceasing - Your Daily Prayer by Emily Massey at Crosswalk.com).

SET: When God sent Moses with a message, Moses knew it may not be received or go well for him, to the point that in Exodus 4, Moses complained, "I am slow of speech and tongue” and said to the Lord, "Please send someone else". But Moses did go! Moses was later described as being "powerful in speech and action" (Acts 7:22). When it comes to praying unceasingly, you may think, "Please send someone else" but God is calling you and will overcome your fears and faults to work through you. When we trust God, our inadequacy becomes our legacy.
How can you make praying unceasingly a lifelong discipline?
Pray to persevere in praying unceasingly.
"So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised." Hebrews 10:35-36
