  • "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." Galatians 5:22-23
  • "Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity." Colossians 3:12-14
  • "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." Ephesians 4:32
  • “Jesus’ acts of kindness are not random or by chance. They are intentional and point to who He is.” Derek C. Johnson.

  • Read "30 Random Acts of Kindness- That You'll Enjoy Doing" from Focus on the Family Canada. "To start spreading love to your family, friends or people around you, check out this list packed with fun and practical random acts of kindness for families to give of their time, treasure and talent."
  • Read "Be Kind to One Another" by John Piper at Desiring God. "Five Aspects of Christian Kindness: As I have pondered these verses it seems to me that they tell us five things about Christian kindness: 1. the extent of Christian kindness; 2. the depth of Christian kindness; 3. the pattern of Christian kindness; 4. the instrument of Christian kindness; and 5. the source of Christian kindness. Let's look at these one at a time. And as we do let's pray that the Spirit of God would honor His Word by causing us to be changed by it."

  • "Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? —unless indeed you fail to meet the test!" 2 Corinthians 13:5.
  • "Search me, God, and know my heart;  test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." Psalm 139:23-24.
  • Examine your heart when it comes to showing kindness for motives, concerns, readiness, and equipment.
  • Specific to this challenge, it is crucial to perform acts of kindness in Jesus' Name otherwise it is just kindness. The focus of our kindness has to be Jesus Himself not on the kindness itself.

  • "Dear Heavenly Father, as I come before You today, my heart seeks to understand and embrace the profound power of kindness. In a world that often values might over meekness, and self-interest over selflessness, the act of being kind can seem counterintuitive. Yet, I am reminded of Your infinite kindness towards humanity, how despite our flaws and misgivings, You continually pour out grace, mercy, and unfailing love upon us. Your word instructs us to be tenderhearted and kind, reflecting the very nature of Christ. It’s easy to become numb and indifferent in a society that sometimes feels cold and distant. Lord, I humbly ask You to cultivate in me a heart that recognizes the importance of every act of kindness, no matter how small." (From ChristiansTT – Prayers And Devotionals).

  • READY: Now that you have studied Biblically, trained Spiritually, examined your heart, and prayed over this challenge, you are ready to undertake showing kindness. You equipped yourself Spiritually, mentally, and physically, so get ready to go girl! This is a tough challenge! If you don't feel ready, trust that God has set you up to succeed!
  • SET: When God sent Moses with a message, Moses knew it may not be received or go well for him, to the point that in Exodus 4, Moses complained, "I am slow of speech and tongue” and said to the Lord, "Please send someone else". But Moses did go! Moses was later described as being "powerful in speech and action" (Acts 7:22). When it comes to showing kindness- especially in an unkind world, you may think, "Please send someone else" but God is calling you and will overcome your fears and faults to work through you. When we trust God, our inadequacy becomes our legacy.
