Dear Lord, as I present this Bible to a soul in need, help me to be a soul on fire sharing passion for Your LIVING WORD in Jesus Christ and Your WRITTEN WORD in this book I am praying they receive. Lord, I pray they not only receive this book but that they receive Your Word so earnestly that they follow Jesus Christ by living according to Your Word. Lord, I pray the following prayer from Crosswalk.com for anyone reading Your Word, including myself: "Please use Scripture to teach me, rebuke me, correct me, and train me in righteousness so that I can be completely equipped to do every good work you have prepared for me. (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Let me embrace your words of life more than I embrace my fears, my insecurities, and the lies that have ensnared me. I know that 'Your hands formed me and made me' so I know that You can 'give me understanding to learn Your commands' and teach me the Scriptures. (Psalm 119:73) Please make your Word come alive in my heart; help me to remember it and act on it so that I will not sin against You. (Psalm 119: 11). Open my ears to Your Word, so when I hear it spoken aloud, I will receive it with joy. Use it to guide me in Your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. (Psalm 25:5) Help me to obey your Word so I will fully understand it and be able to move on to maturity in my faith. (Hebrews 5:12) Place Godly Bible teachers in my life, and grant me the opportunity to teach Biblical truth to others. I pray these things through the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen."
READY: Now that you have studied Biblically, trained Spiritually, examined your heart, and prayed over this challenge, you are ready to undertake spreading God's Word. You equipped yourself Spiritually, mentally, and physically, so get ready to go girl! This is a tough challenge! If you don't feel ready, trust that God has set you up to succeed!
SET: When God sent Moses with a message, Moses knew it may not be received or go well for him, to the point that in Exodus 4, Moses complained, "I am slow of speech and tongue” and said to the Lord, "Please send someone else". But Moses did go! Moses was later described as being "powerful in speech and action" (Acts 7:22). When it comes to spreading God's Word, you may think, "Please send someone else" but God is calling you and will overcome your fears and faults to work through you. When we trust God, our inadequacy becomes our legacy.
How can you make spreading God's Word a lifelong discipline?
Pray to persevere in spreading God's Word.
"So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised." Hebrews 10:35-36
